Who I am
I am a coach, therapist, educator, and consultant. I work in the field of ecopsychology, bringing my own unique respect and cultivation of beauty and the sacred into the field of psychology and sustainability. I offer a unique blend of eco-consulting, education, coaching, expressive arts therapy, ritual, and wilderness therapy. My work is in service to shifting the current Self and world-view to one that is more vibrantly alive and in alignment with all of life on this planet. I hope to contribute to the expansion of human awareness to connect with and support the more-than-human world, the greater earth, and our own vibrant hearts to co-create a thriving planet. My intention is a beautification of our human vision in service to renewing the earth, cosmos and beings that live and die within it. This is in an active practice of re-sacredizing the world for human beings in honor of our hearts and the earth.
My education
Through studying process work, somatics, life coaching, expressive arts therapy, process oriented psychology, dream work, ecotherapy and voice therapy at a variety of schools throughout the United States, I have cultivated a unique style and perspective of supporting the experience of reconnection with Self and world. I have been studying indigenous living off the land skills, ritual and ceremony for the past ten years. I have a master’s degree in Ecopsychology at Antioch University in 2012. I received an undergraduate degree in Art and Design from Hamline University.
My experience
I have been practicing and facilitating expressive arts and ecotherapy with individuals and groups for the past fifteen years. I have taught Earth-based expressive arts practices, dream work, and T’ai-Chi at the Birthing Life Tai-Chi center from 1998-2005. I am a teacher, presenter, and educator in service to shifting the dominant world-view to one that is vibrantly alive and in alignment with all of life on this planet. I have three years experience with designing academic programs, concentrations and writing curriculum for high school, undergraduate and graduate education. I currently balance my therapy and education work with my interior and event design company, Vibrant Living Designs.
Expressive Arts, Wilderness, Ecotherapy, & Life Coaching
“We are all dying to find the enchanted path of least action and most heart”
Arny Mindell from Earth-Based Psychology
We are all looking for an experience of connection and authenticity, of the real and the beautiful of life. Searching for that which inspires us to move and keep moving and give and adore being alive. I offer humans a path to that experience, a way to connect to Here. A way to stop running and a way to come home to yourself, in your own skin, and breathe and give your breath to the beauty of this world. Each moment we are alive can be an offering of eloquence crafted with love and grace. I facilitate and inspire how to approach ones life artfully and masterfully in service to our hearts and the earth.
I facilitate humanistic earth-based expressive arts work and life coaching that increases awareness, connection, and dialogue with the Self and the living sacred world around us. I weave together the techniques of process work, somatic, life coaching, expressive arts, voice and ecotherapy to support reconnection with the Self and world. Within the process of eco-therapeutic and expressive arts experiences, the coach and the client are brought into a world that blends the literal and imaginal, where they find a mutual effective reality that can reconnect to psyche and soul in a strong container of support and beauty.
I hope that this reconnection leads us, as individuals and as a collective, to finding an authentic effortless path of heart that is unique to each of us. I am empowering people to take action from this deep knowing of themselves and the universe for a more vibrant life and sustainable world. This effortless path can reveal our reality as magic, shift our lives to one of wonder and appreciation for the earth and our own bodies. It can inspire a new way of approaching and interacting with the world around us, creating a thriving planet that we are all an integral part.
Ecocultural Education and Consulting
I work with professional institutions, academic, and alternative education programs to help them integrate more ecopsychology and systems material into their curriculum. The current paradigm of education and sustainability can only carry humans so far. We need a complete world-view shift, where we value and have a felt sense of the living worth and beauty of our environment. Through a perceptual valuing of our immediate and wider world, humans can create truly sustainable and thriving practices that can be fully integrated into our world for multi-generational affects.
I am a teacher, presenter, and educator in support of shifting the current world-view into one that is more vibrantly alive and in alignment with all of life on this planet. I have three years experience with designing and incorporating ecopsychology material into academic programs, concentrations and writing curriculum for high school, undergraduate, graduate an alternative education.
